Swktu is  much more than a watch brand.

It's also photography, graphic design, conceptual art, minimalism, ... and ... a child's amazement at the wonders of this world.

All photos, designs, words and art works are created by one person, Swktu’s Swiss founder D. W. Matto who works in Switzerland and swims in Bali.

Following his passion for conceptual art and living in different cultures he decided one day to express the differences between the two concepts of time in Switzerland and Indonesia in the most minimalist way possible - by just erasing the fat index of an Apostolic* dial at the 9 o'clock position and moving the fat index at the 12 o'clock position 30 degrees counter clockwise.
 
The result is a perfectly asymmetric and absolutely unique watch face supported by utterly integrated watch hands and a beautiful crafted watch case, expressing tradition, Zeitgeist, style and timeless class.

* The Apostolic dial follows a Christian tradition which dates back to the third century. The basic idea behind the design is to help Christians to remember to pray during the day every three hours, starting with the morning prayer at 6 o'clock, followed by prayers at  9, 12, 3 and 6 o'clock in the evening.
